At this time we do not have nutritional information. We do get requests for the nutritional information and it is something we are considering. If we ever do get that information, it will be posted on our website.

We do not franchise at this time. We have looked into it in the past and we decided not to. We are always evaluating our options and it is something we may consider in the future. There are extensive legal and accounting requirements in order to franchise. For legal and logistic reasons, we do not maintain a list of perspective franchises. If we ever do franchise, we will post it on our website.

By being closed on Sundays we make sure all our hard working employees get at least one day off. Also, this is a day we do maintenance work.

We are always looking for good locations and we have received requests to open stores everywhere in southern California and in most places in the United States.

We do request for recipes for the different items we make. Mostly we get this from people who used to live near one of our stores and have moved. Unfortunately we don't give out our recipes.

You can purchase these items at all the stores except the Melrose store. The manager must be present because we do keep them locked up. The cost is $10.00 each, including sales tax. The hats and visors come in one size. The shirts are available in M, L, and XL.

We have looked into this and considered it in the past. At this time we are not looking to expand in this manner. If we ever do, we will be soliciting opportunities on our website.

Due to the importance of maintaining proper food temperature to insure safe food consumption, it is not practical to ship our food in the mail or any other means. Packing our food on dry ice would maintain proper temperature, but then the food would taste terrible. We apologize to our loyal, transplanted customers. Hopefully, someday we will be near to where you currently live.

If you e-mail us a question of what you are allergic to, we will do our best to give you guidance of what our current understanding is of what we intend on serving at that point in time. We can NEVER GUARANTEE that any of our food is free from any particular item. From growers, manufactures, distributors, and store operations, anything could happen. Recipes could change or some accidental cross contamination could occur. If one is highly sensitive to tomatoes, it is possible and probably likely that some tomato juice or seeds could find its way into our lettuce container at one time or another. We don't have peanuts in our store but we do serve almonds. Some peanuts could have accidentally been mixed in with our almonds or we could accidentally use peanut oil in a recipe or we may try peanut oil sometime in the future in a recipe. Food safety and food allergy is an extremely critical subject and one that we take very seriously. We will do our best to give you guidance, but if a person is from slightly sensitive to highly allergic to any food items, we want to be conservative and state that we can not promise that any of our food at California Chicken Café does not contain any particular item. Any store employee, management, or ownership should not and can not state otherwise.

I am sorry to say that we do not donate food or gift certificates for fundraising events. We get so many requests every week to help out different organizations, it has become a very difficult decision on how to handle the many different appeals. It is a time consuming and administratively challenging.

We haven't seen one group that we did not think was deserving of our support. In recognition of our desire and responsibility to help our community, we have decided that the outreach we would participate in is the donation of food to several food shelters. We do this on a weekly basis. There are other organizations we donate to, but those are ones the owners are personally involved in or as favors to very special friends.
